Insight

Diagno analyses your data and tells you when systems need attention. It never takes control of equipment, and your qualified technicians handle physical inspection and rectification.

Plain-language issue notifications

All the tools to prioritise action

Use data to prove the fix

Protect your investment

Know which sites need a closer look—and why

Managing a commercial portfolio gets much simpler when you can see generation, performance issues, service work and reporting in one place.

PORTFOLIO

Compare sites consistently

Bring systems across brands and providers into one shared hierarchy, from portfolio level to each available device.

PERFORMANCE

Find hidden performance gaps

Go beyond “online” and “generating”. Diagno shows you when a site’s performance needs a closer look.

PRIORITY

Prioritise the issues that matter

We prioritise issues for you and give your team the tools to organise follow-up around operational and financial impact.

REPORTING

Explain portfolio outcomes

Keep observations, investigations, site findings and performance outcomes together so every stakeholder can see what changed and what remains open.

Portfolio workflow

Use Diagno as part of your asset management process

Start with a representative group or your business-critical sites, then expand across the portfolio as the workflow proves itself.

STEP 01

Set the portfolio priorities

Agree which sites, performance expectations, reports and service responsibilities matter most to your team.

STEP 02

Connect your systems

Provide secure, read-only access through our supported pathways. We’ll tell you exactly what data each connection can bring into the platform.

STEP 03

Review performance over time

Diagno builds a performance picture across your portfolio, sites and devices using available current and historical data.

STEP 04

Investigate, fix and report

Send qualified technicians when necessary, record the physical finding and show what happened to performance after rectification.

Anonymous commercial case

Historical evidence became a focused technician brief

At a 99.5 kWp commercial system in northern New South Wales, analysis of available history indicated string-fault evidence extending back to 2021. The maintenance conversation was no longer “There might be something wrong here.” There was now a documented trail leading to a specific problem.

The client arranged an inspection. The technician found blown string fuses associated with panel damage, replaced them and documented the work. Subsequent performance returned to the expected range. Diagno consolidated the data, found an issue going back years, pointed the team to the right place and then provided real, reportable metrics showing the resolution.

What this example shows

  • Remote analysis narrowed the issue to string-fault evidence
  • A qualified site visit confirmed blown fuses and panel damage
  • The service record connected the remote finding, physical cause and rectification outcome

Research and industry

Built around the realities of scaled solar operations

Diagno’s research participation and industry backing have given us both analysis techniques that are just for us, as well as experience in exactly how large solar and battery fleets need to be managed.

UNSW-led

UNSW has been at the forefront of photovoltaic research for decades. Working with SPREE (School of Photovoltaics and Renewable Energy Engineering) gives Diagno the opportunity to apply world-leading research to continually improve our diagnostic algorithms and analysis techniques.

UTS co-led

Working with the UTS Institute for Sustainable Futures gives Diagno the opportunity to help translate cutting-edge research into practical diagnostic tools for commercial solar systems, improving fault detection, maintenance decisions and operational performance.

Formbay investment

Diagno announced Formbay’s investment in May 2026, citing portfolio intelligence, diagnostics, reporting and operational workflows.

Commercial portfolio questions

Commercial solar monitoring FAQs

Can Diagno monitor every solar system in our portfolio?

It’s likely. We currently support upwards of 18 distinct data sources, including metering providers and direct inverter/battery monitoring. The common exceptions are decades-old systems and defunct brands. Regardless, we’re happy to work with you to get all your systems online.

No. What we do is show you where performance is being lost and give you the data to make better operational and financial decisions. Your actual result will depend on the site, tariff, contracts and rectification work.

No. Diagno exerts no control over any devices we monitor, without exception. We ask for the minimum possible permissions necessary to offer system oversight.

For issues that we’re concerned are a safety risk we contact you as soon as we’re aware. If a system isn’t generating or we’ve verified a partial loss we aim to notify the next day. Some issues frequently resolve themselves, or require a longer time period to establish a pattern beyond the initial anomaly.

No, and we don’t pretend to. Diagno gives owners and service teams a shared evidence trail, makes the next site visit easier to scope and keeps the rectification outcome visible. Qualified technicians remain essential for physical inspection, safety, compliance and repairs.
