Solar monitoring for EPCs and O&M teams that shows where to look

Bring your client systems into one view, translate multiple cloud accounts into centralised fleet-wide reporting and keep the journey from remote observation to site finding and rectification visible.

Insight

Diagno can help narrow the search and keep site visit outcomes organised and accessible. User accounts can be given limited access to just the information that you'd like them to see.

View the whole fleet in one place

Plain-language issue notifications

All the tools to prioritise repairs

Use data to prove the fix

Less portal work, better site work

Support a growing service portfolio with a repeatable workflow

The Diagno loop empowers solar and battery managers to keep all their assets performing as they should be.

PORTFOLIO

Aggregate sites

Organise systems across brands and portfolios so teams spend less time getting the basic stats.

DIAGNOSTICS

Investigate with a clearer picture

Use our metrics and diagnostics to organise a site visit (or not!) with even greater confidence.

PRIORITY

Prioritise the service queue

We prioritise your issues ourselves, but we also give you the tools to address problems in a way that works for you.

REPORTING

Close the loop for clients

Write down comments, findings and performance outcomes on the platform so accountable people can explain what changed and what remains open.

Service workflow

Use Diagno as part of your process

The best results combine supported telemetry, disciplined remote review and the practical knowledge of qualified field teams.

ACQUISITIONS

Audit newly-acquired sites

A lot can happen over a system’s lifetime. Use Diagno to collect an aging system’s data and get all historical statistics and issues.

INSTALLATIONS

Observe sites just installed

From day one, Diagno can make sure a new system is operating as expected and simplify rectifications by finding issues within warranty and defect liability periods.

REPORTING

Get the reports you need

Save your time. You shouldn’t need to export data from five portals for your monthly reporting. Import your own templates and get data in the form you require from all your systems.

ENGAGEMENT

Give your clients confidence

Users can be given access to specific portfolios and sites at different permission tiers. They’ll only see what you want them to see.

Anonymous commercial case

Historical evidence became a focused technician brief

At a 99.5 kWp commercial system in northern New South Wales, analysis of available history indicated string-fault evidence extending back to 2021. The maintenance conversation was no longer ‘There might be something wrong here.’ There was now a documented trail leading to a specific problem.

The client arranged an inspection. The technician found blown string fuses associated with panel damage, replaced them and documented the work. Subsequent performance returned to the expected range. Diagno consolidated the data, found an issue going back years, pointed the team to the right place and then provided real, reportable metrics showing the resolution.

What this example shows

  • Remote analysis narrowed the issue to string-fault evidence
  • A qualified site visit confirmed blown fuses and panel damage
  • The service record connected the remote finding, physical cause and rectification outcome

Research and industry

Built around the realities of scaled solar service

Diagno’s research participation and industry backing have given us both analysis techniques that are just for us, as well as experience in exactly how large solar and battery fleets need to be managed.

Advanced PV diagnostics research

Diagno is an industry participant in the RACE for 2030 “Maximising solar ROI” project, led by solar research leaders University of New South Wales and co-led by the UTS Institute for Sustainable Futures. We worked with our research partners to develop industry-leading algorithms and analysis techniques that are actively being brought onto the platform.

Formbay investment

Diagno announced Formbay’s investment in May 2026, citing portfolio intelligence, diagnostics, reporting and operational workflows.

Service-provider questions

Solar monitoring FAQs for EPC and O&M teams

Can Diagno monitor every system in my fleet?

It’s likely. We currently support upwards of 18 distinct data sources, including metering providers and direct inverter/battery monitoring. The common exceptions are decades-old systems and defunct brands. Regardless, we’re happy to work with you to get all your systems online.

No. Diagno exerts no control over any devices we monitor, without exception. We ask for the minimum possible permissions necessary to offer system oversight.

No, and we don’t pretend to. There are limits to what can be gleaned from raw data. Visual inspections such as switchboard thermal imaging or workmanship checks for things like cable mechanical protection will always need to be performed by a qualified technician on-site. However, visit regularity can be reduced, and Diagno insights significantly reduce time spent troubleshooting on site by providing direction for all sites in the fleet.

For issues that we’re concerned are a safety risk we contact you as soon as we’re aware. If a system isn’t generating or we’ve verified a partial loss we aim to notify the next day. Some issues frequently resolve themselves, or require a longer time period to establish a pattern beyond the initial anomaly.

No. Our aim is that once all your systems are commissioned via their third-party cloud and brought onto Diagno, you won’t need to be checking any other portal. We need that initial connection however, and registration with each portal streamlines any warranty claims and support tickets.
